Budgeting, Personalized for You
Because your family is unique
We are here for you, parents and caregivers. We would be honored to be a Parenting Partner in your unique journey nurturing your little human(s). At times when childcare bills are higher than mortgage tied with parents burning out trying to do it all, financial planning and time budgeting can help reduce the overwhelm and emotional stress associated with parenting. We’re here to break it down for you one topic at a time.
When you don’t know where to begin, pause and ask us! We’ll save dollars and hours of research via resources, cost estimates, products and services you must look at for what you need right now. We’re excited to give early access to 3 groups-
Planning-to-be parents who are planning/trying to get pregnant and are starting to build a plan
Soon-to-be parents who are currently pregnant
Parents who have little kids 0-5 years old
Don’t do it all. At least not at once. What’s your parenting focus right now? We recommend picking one goal or objective to focus on and get it done. Click on the image and let us help.
What you’ll get from us:
1-2 resources/articles from experts in the field that explains the topic
Typical $ cost range
Insurance coverage - yes/no
Average monthly $ cost with insurance
FSA/HSA eligibility - yes/no
Average monthly time cost/saving
1-3 products and/or services
You can fill the form multiple times per week if you have multiple goals to achieve. We recommend focusing on one at a time and getting it done. We will check-in once a week for feedback, share the form again for the next goal and make a few recommendations on what else to think about for your child’s age.
Here’s a sample: “We want to start going on date nights, where do I begin?”
Parents, new or seasoned, traditional or unconventional are dealing with a new born at home. Which translates to irregular sleep, exhausted bodies and brains overloaded with information about baby and parenting. Intimacy tends to take a backseat and parents prioritize the baby’s needs over theirs.
For the birth mother, sex might have to wait till she completely recovers from childbirth and gets a green signal from her medical practitioner. In most cases, a doctor recommends waiting 4-6 weeks post delivery whether vaginal or cesarean. For some women, even the 6-week mark isn’t enough time. Even if the body has recovered from the birthing, she might face other physical challenges. Sore breasts, dry vagina, back aches and exhaustion could make her want to abstain from sex for longer. Talk to each other, a lot, in detail. You could also get pregnant. If you’re not ready for another, plan for that.
If you haven’t found the time or opportunity to get to it, schedule intimacy. Find a time of day that you know your baby would be asleep or a day of the week where you plan a romantic date night, the living room works! As parents, sometimes (or most times?) sex finds a slot on the calendar or at least quality time spent together.
Costs to consider:
Cost of meal or activity - $50 to $100 per date night
Cost of babysitting - $0 (if a friend or grandparents can watch the baby) to $80/$100
Insurance coverage - No
Average monthly $ cost with insurance - Not applicable
FSA/HSA eligibility - Not eligible
Average time cost/saving:
1-2 hours finding and organizing childcare. This can involve coordinating with family or friends or finding and interviewing to hire a babysitter.
3-4 hours of quality time with partner.
